HERTFORD, NC – Cheryl Perry of Hertford, NC is the August Better Made Snack Foods recipe contest winner for her
Spicy Roasted Cauliflower with Coconut Curry Sauce featuring crushed Better Made Snack Foods Pork Rinds! Cheryl submitted her recipe as part of Better Made Snack Foods’ year-long recipe contest.
“I decided to cut my carbohydrate intake, so I decided to try and substitute pork rinds in any recipes in which flour was used,” says Perry. “I love spicy food so of course, the spicy variety of pork rinds was my choice for this recipe. In addition, the recipe is my spin on Indian cuisine and that type of cuisine incorporates spice into the food. My oldest son, who is a fitness buff, loves the recipe and now uses pork rinds in place of flour as well for breading meats and vegetables and to sprinkle on top of dishes where a crust is desired.”
